Allegheny County Police Investigating Shooting In Homestead

HOMESTEAD (KDKA) -- The Allegheny County Police Department Homicide Unit responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:00 p.m. of multiple gunshots fired in the area of East 14th Street and East 15 Street in Homestead.

Police and EMS arrived and did not locate a scene.

Shortly after, a 37-year-old man arrived at Mercy Hospital with gunshot wounds to the back. He is currently in critical condition.

Detectives learned that the victim had been shot while on East Pine Way, located between East 14th and 15th streets.

The suspect was identified as a black male, last seen wearing a black hoodie with white stripes, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

No other details are available at this time.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
