Penn Hills Police K-9 Dies
PENN HILLS (KDKA) -- A K-9 with the Penn Hills Police Department died Thursday.
The department says K-9 Riggs was diagnosed with an incurable advanced stage of cancer.
Officer Ryan Walters, Riggs' partner, made the decision to end the dog's suffering. Riggs was put to sleep Thursday afternoon.
Penn Hills Police say K-9 Riggs was 12 years old and had served the community with Walters since 2009.
