HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS) – One student was killed and seven other students were hurt in a shooting a Denver-area school Tuesday.

Police say “two shooters” were caught by officers running into the building. Both suspects are students at the school.

Douglas County Sheriff’s responded to STEM School Highlands Ranch, a K-12 charter school, just after 2 p.m.

The sheriff’s office confirmed an 18-year-old male student was killed in the shooting.
