Shooting At Hill District Airbnb Leaves Two Dead, One Injured
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Two young people are dead and one person is injured after a shooting at an Airbnb rental in the Hill District.
Police are still searching for a suspect in the shooting that took place around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night at McNeil Place.
Homicide detectives were on the scene for hours this morning. EMS and paramedics said when they arrived, they found one man dead.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a teenage girl on the porch of a home. She was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The teenager was reported dead by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday afternoon.
"If they're not locked up, they're in a grave. That's your choice -- either be locked up or in your grave," said Anthony Porter, a neighbor. "It's a life. It's a young kid that's not gonna see graduation, that's not gonna grow up."
The third gunshot victim was a young man who suffered minor grazing issues and reportedly drove himself to the hospital. He's expected to be okay.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that there was a large party taking place at an Airbnb rental and, at some point, things turned violent.
In a statement to KDKA, Airbnb said that "the guest associated with the reservation" has been removed from the home rental app. It reads:
We are horrified by the loss of life, and our thoughts are with the victims of this senseless tragedy. The reported behavior violates everything our global community stands for. We have removed the guest associated with the reservation while we urgently investigate the incident and stand ready to support Pittsburgh PD.

Resident: Yes I did.

Resident: Yeah, because at first I thought it was firecrackers.
KDKA's Lindsay Ward spoke to a woman who didn't want to show her face on camera. She says when she came home last night after spending an evening with friends, she noticed lights and loud music next door.
"We need responsible people ya know, but these people they don't seem to care, everyone only seems interested in having a good time and having a party," the woman said. "I'm hoping that victim will pull through and get better and I have sympathy for all these families involved."
As of right now, police have made no arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
