Man Shot In Stomach In Beaver Co.

MIDLAND HEIGHTS, Pa. (KDKA) - Police are investigating a shooting in a normally quiet corner of Beaver County.

Officers responded to the scene in Midland Heights for a shooting that occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Matthew Carothers, 44-years-old of Midland, Pa., was shot in the stomach, according to investigators.

The victim was arguing with another man, 52-year-old John Parsons of Midland, Pa., before he was shot, said police.

Carothers was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Parsons is now facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering. He was taken to the Beaver County Jail.
