Greensburg Police Find Missing Man

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- Greensburg Police say a missing man has contacted his family and police to say that he's okay.

Police were looking for Jason Seth McIntosh who had been missing for over a month.

McIntosh, 44, hadn't been seen or heard from since May 17.

Family members were worried because he usually gets in touch with them daily.

"It's been almost a month that he's been missing and his family has come to the police department asking for assistance in attempting to locate him," said Capt. Robert Stafford of the Greensburg Police Department.

Investigators say the man recently started working at a Hempfield IHOP. They say he is battling addiction and has a history of health problems.

"The last contact most people had with him was at the hospital," said Stafford. "He was staying with some friends on Fourth Street and Harrison Avenue."

However, after visiting those friends, it appears McIntosh just disappeared. According to police and family, he's not one to keep quiet for long.

"He does have a daughter who he normally contacts everyday, does have an ex-girlfriend, a few other friends he contacts periodically," added Stafford.

They initially received information from friends and co-workers that McIntosh was possibly in New Stanton or Ligonier, but later found out he might be in the State College area.
