Somerset Police Investigating $10,000 Publishers Clearing House Scam

SOMERSET, Pa. (KDKA) -- Police in Somerset are investigating a Publishers Clearing House scam.

A report from the authorities states that an 83-year-old woman from Somerset was contacted by an individual advising her she won money from Publishers Clearing House.

The woman sent $10,000 via treasurer's checks to cover the fees directed by the male on the phone.

The theft is being investigated by police.
