North Apollo Firefighter Receives Award For Valor

ARNOLD, Pa. (KDKA) -- A local firefighter earned recognition for valor shown while on the job.

First Assistant Chief Cliff Rearic of the North Apollo Volunteer Fire Department Station 170 received the Western Pennsylvania Fireman's Association Valor Award on Tuesday night, announced on the department's Facebook page.

He took home the award after rescuing a woman from a fire last November in Parks Township.

Rearic was nominated by his coworkers.
