SCRANTON, Pa. (KDKA) — A Scranton toy maker took a chance this year and introduced its first female soldier figurine.

That chance paid off.

BMC Toys is one of the largest makers of little green Army men.

The company says when it added a little green Army woman, the response was overwhelming.

Now the owner plans to include 12 figurines of women in combat.

The first full line of female soldiers is expected to be available for Christmas next year.
