High Voltage Line Starts Two-Alarm Fire In Oakland

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire in Oakland around 4:00 a.m. Sunday.

The fire started when a high voltage line came down and hit the building at the corner of Robinson and Terrace Streets. Firefighters responded to the residence fire on 200 block of Robinson Street.

The roof was on fire, and there were downed powerlines on the roof.

Duquesne Light had to shut off the power before firefighters could put out the flames.

No one was inside the building. There were no injuries. Police detectives and fire investigators, part of the Fire Investigation Unit, will investigate the cause of the fire.
