Port Authority Police Officer Helps Save A Woman's Life

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- For one Port Authority Police officer, vital training helped save a life.

Last week, Port Authority Officer Kaupinis was dispatched to a call of a woman on a bus threatening to harm herself.

Using Crisis Intervention Training, he successfully convinced the woman to drop a knife she had in her possession.

She was transported to the hospital.

No update was given on her condition.
