Police Investigating Overnight Shooting In McKeesport
MCKEESPORT (KDKA) -- One person was critically injured in an overnight shooting in McKeesport.
The shooting took place early Tuesday morning around 2 a.m. in the 600 block of Evans Avenue.
According to Allegheny County Police, a 29-year-old male was shot multiple times and later showed up at a hospital. At last check, he was listed in critical condition.
Police say that the victim and two friends were approaching Evans Avenue from Beacon Street when an unknown individual began firing towards the victim, striking him multiple times.
He is listed in critical condition.
The shooting happened in the shadow of UPMC McKeesport Hospital, but caused no disruption to patient care.
There is currently no description of the shooter and the motive is currently unknown.
