Shoppers Facing Empty Shelves Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Shoppers stocked up on groceries over the weekend in preparation for having their kids at home from school for at least two weeks.

Shoppers found many shelves empty, with toilet paper, bread, and frozen food all in scarce supply.

Giant Eagle hopes that new store hours will allow the time to restock and sanitize the store.

All Giant Eagle and Market District locations will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.

With empty shelves now common, shoppers were left scratching their heads.

Much like Giant Eagle, All 24-hour Wal-Mart stores will now be open from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. until further notice.
