HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Police are investigating after a body was pulled from the water at the Shadow Lakes Country Club Sunday morning.

According to the Hopewell Township Police Department, the body was seen floating near the shoreline of a lake on club grounds by people who were fishing nearby. The witnesses called 911. Officers arrived on the scene around 10:40 a.m. and discovered the body of a deceased adult male, police said.

“The body has since been removed and will be taken to the custody of the Beaver County Coroners Office where the cause and manner of death will be determined,” said Chief Brian Uhrmacher, Hopewell Police Dept.

The body remains unidentified.
