Aliquippa Chief Of Police Rob Sealock Dies

ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) - Aliquippa Chief of Police Rob Sealock has died.

According to Aliquippa Mayor Dwan Walker, Chief Sealock died at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

"He was a cop," said Mayor Walker. "He did the job the way you were supposed to do a job. He was accountable."

In 2018, Sealock assumed the role of chief after the department lost two other chiefs.

"He righted the ship and he had the people in that office following him," said Walker. "The way he operated was a testament to who he is."

Sealock had been with the Aliquippa Police since 1997 when started as a patrolman.

"He knows you, knows me, he knows the city," Mayor Walker said. "He led by example."

Several area police departments sent out their condolences via Facebook.
