Penguins Dominik Simon Has Shoulder Surgery, Recovery Expected To Take 6-7 Months

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Penguins forward Dominik Simon is recovering from successful shoulder surgery.

The Penguins announced Thursday that Simon had surgery stemming from an injury on February 29.

The Penguins say that Simon had surgery on April 29, performed by team physician Dr. Dharmesh Vyas, at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh.

Simon is expected to be sidelined for 6 to 7 months.
