Pittsburgh International Airport To Require Masks For All Passengers, Employees, Visitors
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- All employees, passengers and visitors to Pittsburgh International Airport facilities will be required to wear a mask starting May 18.
"We're committed to enhancing the health and safety of passengers and staff in our facilities," Pittsburgh International Airport said in a tweet. It also cited this policy is following CDC guidelines.

The measure is part of Pittsburgh International Airport's PIT Safe Travels initiative, created in response to CDC guidelines. Guided markers will also be in place along with protective shields and redoubled sanitation efforts. Touchless transaction technology will be introduced to help no-contact efforts. Seating in high-traffic areas is being adjusted to allow for social distancing. These measures will also apply to the Allegheny County Airport in West Mifflin.
"Public safety and security are always the top priorities. We are enhancing already rigorous protocols to ensure that our passengers and staff are protected and that our terminal is ready for business," said Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Christina Cassotis. "This initiative will continue to grow as we implement evolving best practices and the latest technology to benefit our passengers and staff through UV disinfection, touchless transactions and more."
