One Dead, One In Critical Condition After Westmoreland County Double Shooting

SOUTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A double shooting left one person dead and a second in critical condition on Saturday night.

According to state troopers, the incident started due to an argument at a party near Smithon.

The argument involved two angry men with guns who both fired. Police say alcohol contributed to the shooting.

The Westmoreland County coroner identified the man who was killed as 44-year-old David Hoffman from Sewickley Township. His death was ruled a homicide, with multiple gunshot wounds the cause of death.

State police are investigating.
