University Of Pittsburgh Purchasing Power From Solar Power Farm

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pitt has a big solar project in the works.

The university has agreed to purchase all of the energy for 20 years from the Gaucho Solar Project.

This purchase will supply the university with about 13% of the electricity on campus.

The "solar farm" will be located near Pittsburgh International Airport and is expected to be up and running in 2022.
