WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) — You may not want to think about it, but it’s back-to-school season, and some families in our area need help getting essential supplies.

On Saturday, the Washington Salvation Army got some super help in their fundraising efforts.

That’s because kids had a chance to meet their favorite superheroes and princesses at the inaugural superhero drive-thru.

All of the donations will help buy supplies for local students.
