Rivers Casino Lays Off More Than 60 Workers
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Rivers Casino has laid off more than 60 workers.
In a statement on Friday, the casino said it had to eliminate 64 positions on Thursday due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
"We appreciate and value their contributions. We're providing assistance to help them transition to their next opportunity," the casino said in a statement.
Pandemic-related shutdowns in Pennsylvania helped knock casino revenue down by 18 percent.
