Mars Area School District Cancels Senior Prom Due To Coronavirus Concerns
MARS, Pa. (KDKA) -- The Mars Area School District is canceling its prom.
Senior prom was originally supposed to be held on May 8. The district pushed it back to July 28. Now, the district says it's still not safe for students because of COVID-19 so they are canceling it altogether.
The district is also putting other changes into place for the upcoming school year, including banning volunteers from entering school buildings.
