Crescent Township Police Warn Residents About PayPal Scam

CRESCENT, Pa. (KDKA) - Police in Crescent Township are warning residents about a scam on PayPal.
Police shared a screenshot someone had sent to them that appeared to be an invoice they had received on PayPal.
The scammer asks for $100 in order to receive a "Coronavirus Tax Rebate" from the IRS.
Police say the scammer is attempting to gain access to the victim's bank account.
