Pitt, Penn State, Carnegie Mellon All Receiving Grants For Coronavirus Vaccine Development

HARRISBURG (KDKA) - Pitt, Penn State, and Carnegie Mellon University are set to receive grant funding to help in the development of a coronavirus vaccine.

According to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, the money will be used to support the rapid advancement of both a vaccine and other therapies for COVID-19.

Pitt is receiving more than $1 million, Carnegie Mellon will get nearly $650,000, and Penn State will receive $415,000.
