Man Sentenced To 14-28 Years For Killing Point Park University Professor And His Dog

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man who pleaded guilty to killing his roommate and his roommate's dog will spend 14 to 28 years in prison.
Joseph Martin pleaded guilty but mentally ill and will receive medical health care while serving his sentence.
Martin admitted to shooting and killing Ricardo Tobia and his dog in 2018 at the home they shared in Carrick. Tobia was a voice instructor at Point Park University for 35 years.
