BROWNSVILLE (KDKA) – A 93-year-old veteran from Brownsville was honored on Veterans Day with 11 medals.

Dr. Frank Edwards was an army sergeant in World War II and he was honored for his bravery in combat.

“Thank you so much for honoring me during this day, I’ll never forget it,” Dr. Edwards said.

Among the awards Dr. Edwards was honored with, the Silver Star, one of the nation’s highest honors.
