Firefighters Battling Heavy Smoke And Flames At Trail View Convenience Store In Elizabeth

ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - Firefighters are on the scene of a fire causing heavy smoke in Elizabeth Township.
The fire is at the Trail View convenience store in the 200 block of Industry Road.
As of 6:00 a.m., the fire still is not contained and there are some flare-ups.
According to the owner of the store, a passerby woke him up, allowing him to get his wife and children out safely.
He believes the fire started in the slushy machine.
The cause is, however, under investigation.
