Man Critically Wounded In Homestead Shooting

HOMESTEAD, Pa. (KDKA) - A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the stomach in Homestead.

Dispatchers reported a male was shot in the 200 block of East 16th Street in Homestead Friday afternoon.

Allegheny County Police's homicide unit says first responders arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Officers were on scene and had an area taped off, with the investigation appearing to be focused around a home.

Police say homicide detectives are initiating an investigation.
