Report: Pittsburgh Public Schools Board Declines Proposal To Increase Property Tax

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Public Schools Board has declined a proposal to increase property taxes and held the millage rate for 2021.
According to a report from our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the decision will cause the operating deficit for the 2021 budget to expand by $4.6 million.
A 2.6% property tax increase was proposed to help alleviate the long-standing deficit.
