PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — No one will be jumping into the Monongahela River for a good cause on New Year’s Day.

The Pittsburgh Polar Bear Club has canceled its annual Polar Bear Plunge because of the pandemic.

Dozens of people usually take the plunge into the New Year.

Earlier this month, the Connellsville Polar Bear Club also canceled its annual plunge into the Youghiogheny River.
