By: KDKA-TV News Staff

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Two UPMC police officers are being recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty.

The officers are credited for saving a woman's life.

Officers Anthony Costa and Matthew Lisovich were on duty at UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital when a woman walked into the lobby bleeding from her arm.

The officers made the quick decision to tie a tourniquet to the woman's arm to stop the bleeding and then transported her to the emergency room.
