PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man is filing a lawsuit against the City of Pittsburgh, claiming police used excessive force during a Black Lives Matter protest this summer.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he was watching the protest from the side of the road in East Liberty when police started using rubber bullets, smoke grenades and other weapons trying to get the crowd to disperse.

The man was hit and ended up with a broken skull and other injuries.
