PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A movie that was filmed in Pittsburgh has been nominated for nine NAACP Image Awards.

Ma Rainey’s “Black Bottom” is based on a play written by August Wilson.

Among the nominations is one for Outstanding Motion Picture.

Black Bottom starred the late Chadwick Boseman in what ended up being his final role.
