Crews Place New Cooling Towers On EQT Building & PPG Place

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Did you hear or even feel the rumble in downtown Pittsburgh yesterday morning? If so, you aren’t alone.

Heavy lifting helicopters were brought in to lift new cooling towers on top of the EQT Building.

Another was placed atop PPG Place.

Several streets downtown were closed while the work was being done.
