Pittsburgh City Council Approves Eviction Moratorium
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pittsburgh City Council voted unanimously to approve a city-wide eviction moratorium Tuesday.
Under the plan, landlords would be banned from evicting tenants for unpaid rent because of the pandemic.
Landlords can apply for exemptions if tenants pose a health or safety risk to other renters or if they commit a crime or damage property.
Several people spoke in favor of the eviction moratorium during today's public comment period.
