PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh is looking to brighten up Shadyside.

Crews began work on Wednesday on a new lighting project on Walnut Street.

They’re taking down overhead wiring and installing 30 new decorative poles and LED “Acorn Lights.”

The project will also re-pave Walnut Street.

They expect to finish the project by May.
