Crews Expected To Break Ground In August On Latter-Day Saints Temple In Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- This region's first The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple will be built in Cranberry Township.
The temple will be on Powell Road near Rochester Road. Crews are expected to break ground on the 32,000-square-foot building on Aug 21, the church announced on Wednesday.
There are only 251 temples around the world, according to the church. The closest one in this region is in Columbus, Ohio.
