PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two local organizations joined forces on Saturday morning to help families in need in Homewood.

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank gave away two packages of diapers and a bundle of baby books per family at the library’s Homewood branch.

According to event organizers, they expected to give away around 3,000 books and 40,000 diapers at the event.
