PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — As kids head back to school, districts across the state are still dealing with a teacher shortage.

The Pennsylvania State Education Association says some schools have classes without teachers. The students have to take correspondence courses with an adult in the room to supervise them.

The union said it is focusing on advocating before lawmakers to show what teachers are really dealing with in schools and how proper funding and legislation can help.
