Who knows, maybe you can contribute to the next “best of” list with your own personal recommendation – yeehaw!
The Rowdy Buck
1325 E. Carson St.
Pittsburgh, PA 15203
Not your typical “pop country” bar, this eclectic, lodge-type establishment has enough kitsch and comfort to keep you coming back for more. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is welcoming (thanks, in large part, to the super friendly staff) and the music is just the right blend of top 40 country and old, moody Johnny Cash. One of the newest additions to the South Side, The Rowdy Buck still has a few kinks to work out, but given time, this should become one of the first places the ‘country set’ will endeavor to visit.
225 W. Station Square Drive
Pittsburgh, PA 15219
Pittsburgh’s preeminent country bar, Buckhead Saloon has something to please both the Rascal Flatts fan and bluegrass aficionado in your life. With outstanding specials, delectable food and a fantastic crowd, you’d be hard-pressed to not make this bar your regular watering hole. On Tuesdays, enjoy 40-cent wings from 4 to 9 p.m., $3 32-oz Miller Lite drafts and $2 Skyy beverages all day. That’s just a taste of some of this fantastic bar’s specials – go and explore the rest for yourself.
565 Route 18
Burgettstown, PA 15021
Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse is a unique dining and entertainment venue, with a seating capacity to please a king. Since its inception, such nationally renown acts as Gary Allan, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, Dwight Yoakam, Willie Nelson and Keith Urban have graced its legendary stage. With every seat providing ample, up-close and personal views of the performers, and a delightful show menu, this country paradise is the only place in the region to get an intimate look at some of this generation’s hottest country stars.
Cadillac Ranch All-American Bar & Grill
1060 Settlers Ridge Center Drive
Pittsburgh, PA 15205
A mechanical bull should be your only reason for visiting this slice of county Americana. However, if getting tossed off of a stuffed animal doesn’t suit your entertainment needs, Cadillac Ranch’s happy hour specials should certainly suffice. With food pulled straight from America’s heartland, a courtesy only a southern belle is familiar with, and a casual, fun atmosphere, this unique bar will definitely suit all of your country-western needs.
