Chili With The Works is a blast! This annual event at 27th Street at South Side Works is bigger and bigger each and every year. You can attend for free, but for a small amount of dough you can sample some of the tastiest chili around. Dozens of restaurants compete to claim the title of "The Best in the 'Burgh." More than that - it's a huge Spring & Arts & Music Festival featuring live music on the Town Square and 27th Street Stages, sidewalk sales, beers & cocktails, a college shopping weekend, and I Made It! Market with over 50 vendors featuring handmade jewelry, clothing, art, household items, and much, much more! It's free to attend, and with sales and affordable tastings - it's quite the bargain as well.

It's an entire afternoon of affordable food, drinks and of course live Blues bands starting at 2 p.m. and heading well into the night. Fifteen bands will entertain all together every half hour, excluding an hour long dinner break. At $12 for the entire event, that's less than a dollar a band! Enjoy the sounds of Neid's Hotel Band, Breadline Preachers, Jimmy Alder, Ron & the Rump Shakers, the New Monongahela Sheiks, FX Project and many, many more.

It's National library week, and The Frick Art & Historical Center and the ToonSeum are joining forces to present this READ-iculously fun family day at The Frick Art Museum. Activities are jam-packed throughout the day. Celebrated children's book authors and illustrators will sign copies of their books, which will be available for purchase at the Frick Art Museum rotunda. Story times with authors and Pittsburgh celebrities will be held throughout the day, Joe Wos of the Toonseum will make a special performance, kids can write and illustrate their own story and create finger puppets, and much more. Best of all, it's free to attend!
