A Memorial Day Weekend of Art and Wine
May 27 - 30

Spend Memorial Day weekend checking out Chatauqua County's wine, art and markets. The Chautaqua County Visitors Bureau suggests trying the EBC West in Fredonia for locally brewed craft beers and Johnson Estate Winery for a tour of the vineyards and a complimentary breakfast. More wine-tasting opportunities can be found at the 3rd Annual Taste of Findley Lake event, which will feature wine and dining choices. Additional suggestions include the Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail for a free, annual Open Studio Tour and the Westfield Farmers Market. Touring Around Jamestown and Chautauqua Lake
June 3 - 5

June 3 is National Learn to Row Day and the Chautauqua Lake Rowing Association wants to help you do just that. Lessons start Saturday morning, with the chance to go rowing in the Chadakoin River near Jamestown. For the rest of the weekend, you could head to the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, where William Burt's photographs of baby wetland birds will be on display, or head to the Great American Picnic on Sunday afternoon for a local fundraiser with live music and food.

Celebrate Farms, Food and Drink
June 10 - 12

Wine and dine with local food and beer at the Farm-to Table Dinner at the Athenaeum Hotel Friday evening, then spend Saturday learning the inner workings of a local distillery at Five and 20 Spirits and Brewing in Westfield. For more local dining, try Cabana Sam's on Lake Erie or Heron Farm in Sherman, and head to Woodbury Vineyards outside of Fredonia to learn more about local wine-making.

A Baroque Weekend and Path through History
June 17 - 19

Learn about Chautauqua County with a weekend of music and history. The annual Bach & Beyond Baroque Music Festival will be held at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Take in some of the county's sights with a historic walking tour of the Lakeview Avenue neighborhood in Jamestown or a tour of the Dunkirk Lighthouse. For food and entertainment, the annual Yassou Festival at St. Nicolas Greek Orthodox Church in Jamestown will have music and dancing along with authentic Greek food. Or for some barbecue, local wine and craft beers and more music, go to a Classic Car Cruise-in, hosted by the Dunkirk Hot Rod Association, at the Grape Discovery Center in Westfield.
