PSU Hoping Jeff Brooks Returns This Week

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - After suffering a dislocated shoulder and missing Penn State's game against Michigan, the Nittany Lions are hoping senior forward Jeff Brooks returns to the lineup this week.

Brooks suffered the injury during the game against Illinois last week. X-rays were taken after the game and revealed no damage to the joint or bones.

Coach Ed DeChellis said, Brooks was working out and doing light basketball drills, though he might not be a full go at practice until trainers were satisfied with the level of strength in the shoulder.

The team is expecting him to return between three and seven days and he could be back for the teams' next game against Michigan State on Thursday.

Brooks is leading the team in rebounds per game with 7.2, field goal percentage and blocks.
