Police Investigate Possible Child Luring Attempt In Swissvale

SWISSVALE (KDKA) -- Authorities are searching for two men involved in a possible attempted child luring incident in Swissvale.

The incident happened Sunday evening in the area of Hawthorne Avenue and Highland Avenue.

Officials say a 12-year-old boy was walking near his home when a dark blue van with chrome wheels and no windows pulled up near him.

One of the men reportedly opened the side door and tried to run after the boy.

Officials say the boy was able to get away and tell his parents.

"I was walking down the street and I walked by this blue van coming down the street like real slow. I noticed like this guy was looking at me, he was looking at me strange, and then the back door opened," said 12-year-old Louis Mobley. "As soon as I heard that back door open there was nobody outside so I got on my skateboard and kicked as fast as I can. Then, the guy noticed me kicking and he jumped out and ran after me."

"My stomach is all in knots right now," said Sabrina Mobley, Louis' mother. "I'm thinking that there's somebody out there, and you can't have your kid come out and play on a nice day because of people that are out there after him. I'm just going to keep him inside."

Police say two men were inside the vehicle. Both are described as white males, one had a buzz cut, and the other has glasses and a black jacket.
