Former NHL Standout Keith Primeau Weighs In On Sidney Crosby

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Former NHL Forward Keith Primeau joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN and talked about Sidney Crosby's concussion and how he is able to relate to what he's going through given that his career was cut short due to concussions he suffered while playing.

Keith spoke to Crosby's agent and indirectly with Sid in regards to the concussion he suffered and gave him some advice.  Knowing as much as he does about concussions, Keith said he would worry every time it appears that Sid is going to get hit.

Throughout the course of his career, Keith suffered four documented concussions, but knows he suffered upwards of 10 and told us what the process if that players had to go through during his playing days in regards to getting back onto the ice.

When it comes to the long-term issues of suffering multiple concussions, Keith said he wakes up everyday knowing he damaged his brain and still suffers from it five years later, but still has a high quality of life and is grateful for that.

Keith wrapped things up by saying knowing what he knows now about concussions and the long-term effects of them, he would do it all again.
