Former Pitt Running Back Excited About Joining Philadelphia Eagles

PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN) -- Fifth-round draft choice of the Philadelphia Eagles, Dion Lewis, joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about getting drafted and what it felt like to receive that phone call.

Lewis said it was a long couple of days waiting to hear his name announced but it was a great feeling that he had been waiting a long time for once the moment came.

Dion did admit that he expected to go higher in the draft, but that was out of his control and her was just happy to land with such a great organization.

Lewis will be joining another former Pitt Running Back in Philadelphia in LeSean Mccoy, and told us about the contact the two of them have had since the draft and how excited he is to work with him.

With the lockout being put back in place though, Dion was unable to get a playbook from the team, but said he'll meet up with McCoy and go over the playbook with him to get a head start on the season.

Dion also discussed his decision to leave Pitt early, and based off where he got drafted, if he had any regrets leaving and not staying for one more year.
