Squirrel Hill Bank Robber Sought

SQUIRREL HILL (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are looking for a bank robber.

The robbery happened at Fifth-Third Bank in Squirrel Hill shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

The teller asked for the suspect's ID because he handed her a Western Union form.

He refused and then opened his briefcase, suggesting he had a weapon. He gave the teller a note demanding money.

She gave him the cash and he ran away down Forbes Avenue. The suspect is about 6-feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds.

The Pittsburgh Police Robbery Squad asks anyone with information about the suspect to call 412-323-7151.
