PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN) — Pittsburgh Steelers 4th round selection out of the Citadel, Cornerback Cortez Allen joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about his college career as well as the opportunity he has been given to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cortez told us what it was like playing at a smaller school like the Citadel, and whether or not he’ll be prepared to step in and play at the next level like the players coming out of bigger schools that play in the more prestigious conferences.

The Citadel has a very different way of doing things that most other universities, and Cortez told us what it was like going there, including going through “hell week,” a tradition at the Citadel that prepared the new students for like there.

Taking a look at the issues on the field, Steelers starting Cornerback Ike Taylor is a free agent when the league opens for business again, and Cortez told us whether or not he had heard anything from the Steelers about them wanting him to step in and play right away.
