2 Kids 'Zapped' By Lightning In Bullskin Township

BULLSKIN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Lightning apparently hit a home in Bullskin Township late Thursday afternoon.

The house was not damaged; however, two young boys in the basement felt the lightning zap through their feet. They were not wearing shoes.

Kristen McCoy was in the house with her three children when the sky got dark and the thunderstorm hit.

When the lights flickered and power went out, McCoy and her children went to the basement. She says she saw sparks on the floor near her washing machine.

Seven-year-old Carson and 13-year-old Carson said they were scared. They say they felt a tingling sensation in their feet.

Paramedics checked them out and said they were okay.

McCoy and her children are spending the night with her mother in Greensburg.

There other lightning strikes in Mt. Pleasant and Herminie.
