Info on the "Ride for Remi" 2011 and Glut1 DS

Starting with her first seizure at 3 days old, Remi Savioz's first year of life was marked by struggles associated with unexplained sickness and subsequent hospitalizations. After 8 and a half years crisscrossing the country visiting various specialists, it was determined that Remi suffered from a neuro-metabolic brain disease called Glucose Transporter 1 Deficiency Syndrome (Glut1-DS). This rare disease has had little attention, so her friends and family started the Remi Savioz Glut1 Foundation to raise funds and awareness for all sufferers.

On July 10, 2011, you can help Remi's foundation by bicycling in the 2011 "Ride for Remi" at North Park. For more information to ride, or to learn more about Remi and Glut1 DS, visit their website at http://www.remisglut1foundation.com/.
